Chugiak World Discovery Seminar Program

Feast or Famine 2024 was held on November 22nd and raised over $1,000 and hundreds of pounds of canned goods for local food programs. Feast or Famine is a food scarcity simulation, representing the 39% of people world wide who do not have access to adequate daily nutrition. Students and staff draw from a bowl either “feast” or “famine.” The number of slips correlates to current statistics. Those who draw feast get an excellent thanksgiving potluck; those who draw famine are taken to a side room for white rice and water.
