Chugiak World Discovery Seminar Program

The WDS Philosophy Seminar Series is a quarterly cross-seminar that takes all WDS students from their normal classes and shuffles the grades into groups for a mixed-age seminar. This year’s philosophy theme is Ethics + Morality. We started our fall field day with our Quarter One cross seminar, which centered around a general text defining ethics and morality and making a list of values most people base their morals on.

For Quarter Two, we celebrated the holiday season with a seminar on ethical gift giving. The seminar culminated in a project where students “gave” hypotheical gifts to their loved ones that had no material value.
