Chugiak World Discovery Seminar Program

The WDS Graduation is a favorite tradition among WDS students. This is an event that begins well before the actual day of the ceremony, when members of the Sophomore cohort interview their assigned senior to learn more about their passions and and interests and then craft them a custom paper hat that matches their personalities. The hats are almost always silly, but beloved.

During the ceremony, graduates are celebrated by the WDS teachers, who present them each with a book chosen specifically for them and signed by WDS teachers. We also honor the WDS Student of the Year and celebrate other memories and achievements from the last four years.

WDS Graduates are also denoted as such in the Chugiak Graduation booklet.
